Description

Carolina Herrera is a Floral fragrance for women launched in 1988 by Carolina Herrera. It was created by Carlos Benaim, Clement Gavarry and Rosendo Mateu who looked to embody the essence of Carolina Herrera herself. The top notes of Carolina Herrera are Apple, Bergamot, Brazilian Rosewood, Green Notes and Orange Blossom, which sit on an amazing bed of floral notes that make up the heart of the fragrance. That aforementioned heart consists of Hyacinth, Honeysuckle, Indian Tuberose, Jasmine, Spanish Jasmine, Lily of the Valley and Ylang Ylang. At the base of the fragrance are notes of Amber, Cedar, Civet, Musk, Oakmoss, Sandalwood and Vetiver. This is a powerful fragrance, with the Tuberose being a particularly strong note, but it's also a floral fragrance, and the other white flowers support the Tuberose amazingly well. It also has a touch of the animalic about it thanks to the note of Civet. It's elegant, it's gorgeous and it's stood the test of time, still being popular more than 30 years after it's original launch.
